Backup and restore your wallets via Google Drive
You can now back up and restore your wallets and contacts through your personal Google Drive, ensuring everything is encrypted and accessible only to you. This powerful and secure solution allows you to carry your wallets wherever you go and maintain secure backups for peace of mind.
Be aware that each backup requires its own encryption password, which you will need to write down and store securely offline. If you lose your encryption password for backups, you will no longer be able to access them.

Importing wallets through Web3Auth
With Web3Auth's "wallet as a service," you can now bring in an EVM-compatible wallet by signing in with your Google or X (Twitter) accounts. Here's how it works:

Select Google or X (Twitter)

Choose your account

Sign in to Web3Auth

Name your wallet (optional)

Your Web3Auth wallet is ready to use
More about our Web3Auth integration
If you're new to Web3Auth, a wallet will be automatically created for you and permanently linked to your Google or X (Twitter) account, and will always retain the same wallet address and private key. This wallet is then imported and seamlessly added to your wallet list, accessible through the wallet dropdown interface. You have complete access to the private key, allowing you to back up a hard copy for extra security. This ensures that if your device or hard copy is lost, you can simply download the VGX Wallet app on any device to recover your wallet. Keep in mind—this is your key, your wallet. Neither Web3Auth nor VGX can access your data at any time, and we do not store it on our servers.
It is important to note that this is not a multi-coin wallet, and will only have access to EVM compatible chains that use the "0x" wallet format. You also will not have access to a recovery phrase for Web3Auth wallets, only the EVM private key. If you wish to access additional chains such as Bitcoin, DOGE, and Solana, you will need to create or import a multi-coin wallet using 12, 15, or 24 word Recovery Phrase.
Import or Create 12, 15, 24 word Recovery Phrases
The VGX Wallet now enables users to import or generate different web3 wallet recovery phrases. This enhances flexibility and accessibility, making it easier for users who previously found the defi space intimidating and difficult to access. In the examples provided, specific words have been intentionally omitted to maintain clarity and focus on the essential information.

Select your import method

Enter your recovery phrase

Or create a 12,15, 24 word phrase

A phrase is generated, Write it down!

Match the words in order

Name and backup your wallet (optional)
Importing your EVM Private Key (less common)
To import a wallet using an EVM Private Key (your wallet address will appear as 0x..... and is only compatible with EVM chains in the applications), simply follow the same steps and input your Private Key instead.
