Gasless Swaps and Swap Settings

On supported chains, you can swap tokens without paying a gas fee—the DEX simply deducts the equivalent amount from your sell token. However, if you haven’t approved your sell token for trading before, you’ll need to do so first, which requires a one-time gas fee.

This feature can also help you acquire a chain’s native gas token. For example, if you have USDT but no BNB, and you've previously approved USDT for trade in the VGX DEX, you may be able to swap USDT for BNB using a gasless trade—provided you meet the minimum amount required.

Gasless swaps are enabled by default on supported chains but can be turned on or off in Swap Settings. To use this feature, your trade must meet a minimum sell amount, which varies by token. If your amount is too low, the swap will notify you. In that case, you may still complete the trade by disabling gasless swaps and paying the gas fee manually.

Other settings include:

• Default Transaction Speed - you can prioritize your trade by choosing to pay more for the gas fee.
• Slippage Tolerance - normally won't need adjustment, but for highly volatile tokens may require higher slippage.
• Transaction deadline - sets the amount of time before your transaction cancels.
• Slippage Popup (for Legacy Tokens only) - legacy Swap tokens may require this auto slippage setting.
  It will engage whether the popup is active or not.

Importing a Token

If the asset you want to swap isn’t listed by default, you can search for it by name or enter its contract address. If the API recognizes the token, it will appear for selection. If not, the token isn’t listed in CoinMarketCap’s database, and you’ll need to import its contract manually. You can find token contract addresses on platforms like CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, or Dex Screener.

Signing and Confirming Transactions

When swapping in the VGX Wallet—or any other wallet—you’ll need to approve tokens, sign trades, and confirm transactions. The images show how swapping works within the VGX Wallet.

• Token Approval: The first time you sell a token on the VGX DEX (or any DEX), you must approve it for trading, which requires a one-time network fee. Future trades won’t need approval.
• Signing Trades: This step authorizes the DEX to trade your token but doesn’t involve a blockchain transaction or fees.
• Transaction Confirmation: This final step processes the trade on the blockchain, requiring a gas fee paid in the chain’s native coin (BNB, ETH, AVAX, etc.).

A DEX aggregator is a tool that searches multiple decentralized exchanges (DEXs) to find the best prices and lowest fees for your crypto trades, ensuring you get the most value in a single transaction. The VGX DEX scans major EVM-compatible swaps, identifying the best available liquidity and pricing for your trade.
